Requesting ARIC Data

External Investigators need an ARIC approved manuscript or ancillary study to request ARIC data from the ARIC Data Coordinating Center. Once approval is received, a completed ‘Data and Materials Distribution Agreement’ (DMDA) is necessary (see form and instructions below). When the DMDA is in place, complete the ‘Data Request Form’ (see below) and submit as per instructions. A fee will be charged for the preparation of the dataset (see the ‘Fees for Non-Contract Work’ document below).

ARIC data can be accessed via BioLINCC https://biolincc.nhlbi.nih.gov/studies/aric free of charge, without the need of ARIC approval. However, these data are older and more restricted than data received directly from the ARIC coordinating center.
